Owner, Steven Harvalias, is the driving force behind Superfitness New & Used Gym Equipment, one of the largest suppliers of commercial-grade fitness equipment in the region — proudly serving Burlington, North Carolina, and beyond. With a passion for health and fitness that started in his teenage years, Steven’s goal has always been to help others create the ideal workout space, whether it’s at home, in a commercial gym, or anywhere in between.
Superfitness New & Used Gym Equipment offers an unmatched selection of new and pre-owned commercial fitness equipment, including treadmills, ellipticals, strength machines, free weights, and more — all available under one massive 170,000 square foot showroom located right here in Burlington, NC.
Steven understands that everyone’s fitness journey is different, which is why Superfitness provides options for every space and budget. From outfitting large-scale gyms, hotels, apartments, and corporate fitness centers to helping homeowners add a few quality pieces to their personal gym — we do it all. About the Owner: Steven Harvalias
Steven’s journey into the fitness world began at a young age. Growing up overweight, his outlook on health changed dramatically after his mom introduced him to the gym. It quickly became a daily ritual and sparked a lifelong passion for fitness.
His passion grew even stronger when his cousin married a gym owner — opening the door for Steven to work in his first gym and learn the ins and outs of running a successful fitness business.
At just 15 years old, Steven won the Alamance Bodybuilding Championship, inspiring many others in the community to pursue their own fitness goals. By 20, he was already making an impact on the business side of fitness, raising $300,000 in just seven weeks to save a struggling gym.
In the early 2000s, Steven opened Superfitness Club, which became one of the longest-standing, independently owned gyms in the Triad area of North Carolina. His dedication to quality and community soon expanded into the global market with the launch of Superfitness New & Used Gym Equipment.
Today, Steven has helped equip fitness facilities all over the world, working with commercial gyms, private studios, personal training centers, luxury hotels, pro athletes, corporate gyms, and even Hollywood actors in need of mobile fitness solutions. He also caters to homeowners simply looking to add a single machine or a set of dumbbells to their space.
